Dima Kozakov success during the CASP16!

Dima Kozakov-top performer in CASP/CAPRI and CASP/Pharmaceutical Ligand Contests

Congratulations to Dima Kozakov, a professor from the Department of Applied Mathematics and Statistics, and his team for their success during the CASP16 (Critical Assessment of Structure Prediction) conference. This year they were top performers in two categories, protein-protein (CASP/CAPRI) and protein-ligand (CASP Pharmaceutical ligands). They used physics aware deep learning approaches to improve in the AlphaFold 3 an important category of antigen-antibody interactions.

According to assessors:

Huge progress in modeling antibody antigen interactions’, significantly better than AlphaFold.
